Community Action to help fill boxes of food to feed the needy and elderly in Fayette County.

Volunteering at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen

Take a Slice Out of Hunger
On Thursday, October 18th, some of the members of the Fayette Board of REALTORS volunteered to help the Greater Connellsville Chamber of Commerce with their annual "Take a Slice Out of Hunger" event.
8 different Connellsville area pizza restaurants particpated to create the ultimate Connellsville
pizza. Purchasers received one slice from each particpating restaurant in their 8 cut pizza box.
Approximately 750 pizzas were sold. Proceeds benefited the Connellsville Area Community
Ministries Food Pantry. Members in the first photo: Dennis Martin, Judy Nutter,

Project Bundle Up
On October 13th, members of the Fayette Board of REALTORS participated in the Project Bundle Up
event held at the Uniontown Walmart. The members really enjoy helping the
children with their warm winter apparel purchase.

Back To School Event
The Fayette Board of REALTORS® Public Relations committee has collected 35 backpacks,
along with enough school supplies to fill them all, to donate to foster children through
the Fayette County Children & Youth Services. A great big THANK YOU
to all our members & friends of the Board for being so generous
and donating items for this Back to School drive.

Summer Celebrity Bartender Event
Members of the Fayette Board of REALTORS® had a great time being celebrity bartenders at the Titlow Tavern & Grille on Friday, August 10th. All tips and proceeds of a Chinese auction were donated to the Crime Victims Center of
Fayette County. Altogether they raised $1,132.00. Thank you all for participating in this event and thank

Salvation Army Food Drive
Fayette Board members collected food at the Walnut Hill Rd. Shop N Save to help stock the Salvation Army's soup kitchen. We ended up with 4 full carts of nonperishable food items to give to the Salvation Army! That's fantastic!! Thank you to everyone that donated food items and thank you to all of you that volunteer at the site.

Helping Hands Event
Members of the Fayette Board of REALTORS, along with some family members, volunteered at the Community Action Agency with their Helping Hands program on Thursday, July 5th. They filled boxes with food to be given to the elderly and needy families.
Volunteers included: Rachel Linderman & her son Payton, Shelley Sharp, Connie Stambaugh, Laurie Hensel & her grandson Preston, Michelle Misiak & her mother, Winona & sister, Lisa.

Empty Bowls Event
Public Relations Committee members, Rachel Linderman & Jeff Dennis, volunteered at that the Community Action Agency's Empty Bowls Event that was held on April 8, 2018. Community Action sold tickets for the event so people could come and have a bowl of soup, a slice of bread and a bottle of water to mimic a meal that people here in Fayette County have to eat for dinner.
All the soups, bread, water and ceramic bowls were donated for this event by local businesses in Fayette County. Our elected officials, as well as their board members, served.
Proceeds from the event benefitted the Community Action’s Soup Kitchen.

March, 2018 - The Fayette Board of REALTORS collected cleaning supplies and other items that were donated for the tornado victims. All items collected were taken to the East End Community Center.
